Allie Chisholm-Smith, MES, RYT
True healing comes from self-knowledge. Self-knowledge (understanding), leads to self-love. It is through this blossoming that we are capable of finding wellness. Using Yoga, Counseling, bodywork, Reiki and her constant studies in Ayurveda, Allie encourages people to find self-knowledge and power from within. She has earned a Master’s degree, is a certified Yoga Instructor and is trained in Yoga Massage. As with Ayurveda, Allie believes that as we heal ourselves, we heal the earth.

Katie Ross
I completed my RYT training at Satyaram Yoga and Reflexology in Toronto and practiced at Esther Myers and Octopus Garden, also in Toronto, and The Lotus Centre in London. I was drawn to yoga by its philosophies, its holistic approach to health, and its physical, mental and spiritual benefits. I enjoy a variety of styles, but my focus is on opening the body and encouraging the flow of energy to achieve optimum health of body, mind, and spirit. My athletic background inspires a more vigorous approach, however, balance is essential, and I value gentle practice. I believe that just as each of us is a unique individual, so should our yoga practices be unique; the key is to listen to our bodies to identify our personal needs each time we step onto the mat. I believe that yoga is a personal journey and is not about comparison or competition. Yoga helps awaken the spine and the self, by helping us become more aware, open and receptive to our bodies and the world we live in. Perhaps its most valuable lesson is to observe our breath. My passion for yoga is complemented by my passion for wilderness and for listening to the teachings of nature. Yoga teaches us to observe the breath, body and mind and, I believe, nature. I am inspired by nature and excited to share in the discovery of yoga and its gifts here in beautiful Muskoka!
